SonderWorx is growing our team in Denver, CO and Albuquerque, NM!
We’re hiring compassionate, curious, and creative actors of all ages, identities, and lived experiences who want to use their performance skills to change lives.
 
🌟 What We’re Looking For

• We’re seeking grounded, collaborative actors and improvisers who:

• Are deeply curious about human behavior

• Can stay present—even when a scene gets intense

• Thrive in team environments built on empathy, presence, and psychological safety

• Want to use their talents to build a better world—one nervous system at a time

 
This is not your typical acting gig. You'll be part of immersive, reality-based training programs that help first responders, educators, healthcare workers, and community leaders learn to navigate conflict, hold space in high-stress moments, and respond with clarity and care.
 
🎬 How to Audition
Send us a video (3 minutes max) telling us:

1. A little about you—what lights you up?

2. Why you want to do this work

3. Any experience you’ve had with role-play, mental health, crisis support, or trauma-informed practice

 
No need for a polished production—just be real.

💼 The Work
You’ll join a team of actors and trainers who deliver resilience and communication trainings for:

• Community safety & law enforcement

• Healthcare

• Education

• Crisis response

• Government & nonprofit agencies

 
You’ll portray characters in emotionally rich, realistic scenarios, helping trainees practice compassion and skill under pressure.
 
🗓️ Schedule & Pay

• Scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance

• Weekday availability (8am–5pm) preferred

• Most sessions are 3 hours long, 5 sessions per training week

• Paid hourly for role-play

• Training stipend after: participating in online training, shadowing 2 sessions, completing 1 live role-play, and a mutual “yes” to continue

• Occasional paid travel opportunities (optional)

 
🤝 The Agreement

• Independent contractor position

• Non-disclosure agreement required

• We are a polyvagal-informed company—emotional regulation, co-regulation, and safety are central to our work
